friendlyness and professionalism of the staff
The location was very close to the town of Clifton. The library was nice to sit in and have a drink with family. The reception and dining room staff were very attentive and welcoming. It was very clean and modern. It was good value for money
Parking was scarce. Camp beds for children were uncomfortable and their bedlinen was poor.
Warmth & friendlyness of staff right through hotel. Also new manager & his wife( don't know names) bring a very family & professional finish to the hotel. Clare at reception knows her stuff. Young lads in restaurant couldn't do enough for you, they are jack of all trades having to serve in the resident bar too. A credit to housekeeping the hotel is spotless.
Water pressure in shower isn't too good. Also the pull out couch bed in our room wasn't in great condition. Kids really could only sleep on it. Next time I'd rather get a family room with two double beds & a cot.
The hotel is ideally located with plenty to do nearby and a great base for exploring beautiful Connemara. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was for the swimming pool but unfortunately I ruptured my Achilles tendon before our trip and ended up in plaster so I'll have to come again to try it out! My sister enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend.
Location was excellent, staff very helpful.
they increased their prices for the connemarathon. The hot water was not hot and the pressure was very low. The breakfast could have been improved - very little choice. The rooms were not very well sound proofed. Our room was above a music event which meant we did not get sleep, the hotel staff did look after us in this regard, which the dealt with professionally
Hotel staff were extremely friendly especially when checking in and out. Room was quite small but it was clean and comfortable. There was a nice selection of foods available for breakfast. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We loved our stay in the Station House Hotel and will use this hotel again
Only a very minor problem which can be fixed. If you really want a bath which I had. You need to hold the stopper in with your foot to get the bath filled. I eventually had a lovely bath which was lovely.
Swimming pool, steam room, spa, the bar let us have a sing song, staff were friendly, near shops, pubs, sea, mountins and eateries.
Has a good reputation and was clean.
Very spacious room, very helpful staff, esp the staff member from Bali. I am sorry cannot remember his name. All the staff were very welcoming.
The Steam room on the Saturday evening 8th Sept did not appear to be working. Not a big deal though
Location Layout of hotel grounds with courtyard and separate bar parking
Outside noise while in bed
great staff good location superb hotel
central to travelling around connamara, very family friendly, nice clean hotel,
It was very clean, has good facilities and is in a prime location for restaurants/bars.secondly it is a good base to see the surrounding countryside.
Very friendly and helpful staff , the hotel is in an excellent location for touring the area and is amazingly quiet even when fully booked as it was the days we stayed .
The rooms nearest to the main road could maybe use more sound insulation ,triple glazing ? although the road is not too busy at night and many hotels I have stayed in have similar noise problems.
